A unique name in PUBG can be made through a good idea and the right choice of fonts, symbols, or simple words used in your name. You want to come up with a name that is easily recognizable, stylish in your game profile, and reflects your style while playing. Finding a unique name may take time, but luckily you can create one for you by following these simple steps.
If you like a short name, a trendy nickname, or bold names, you just have to find an idea that represents who you are and add the little details that can make it unique.
Choose a Name That Matches Your Playing Style
The first step in picking your PUBG username is to figure out what type of player you are, as this will help define your personality, your favorite type of gameplay style, and your overall play style.
For example, if you are an offensive player, you might want an aggressive name.
Here are a few ideas to help you choose a direction:
- Strong names: IronWolf, StormRider, ShadowStrike
- Short names: Vexo, Zyn, Kiro
- Stealth names: SilentFox, NightGhost, DarkStep
- Funny names: LootHunter, MissedShot, PanMaster
- Team names: FrostCrew, AlphaSquad, VictoryPack
This list contains examples of categories for you to consider instead of an exact set of names for you to use. Use different words to create a unique name for yourself.
Keep Your PUBG Name Short and Easy to Remember
The first tip for a good gaming name is not to make it too long. Short usernames are usually far more effective because they are easy to remember for your teammates when playing.
One or two words are better than a full phrase when forming usernames for any gaming platform. Avoid excessive amounts of numbers, symbols, or repeated letters.
This way the username ShadowFox will be simple enough to use and it will not look cluttered on your gaming profile. Other examples of usernames are Vexo7 and FrostWolf as they are also quite pronounceable.
Before picking your username, ensure that you look at the character limit since not all platforms will have the same rules and regulations in place for usernames.
Add Stylish Fonts to Make Your Name Stand Out
After selecting a name, make sure it stands out by formatting it in a unique style. You can do this by using stylish unicode font letters which will provide an average text with a unique look without changing its meaning.
For example, the name (Shadow) can take some of the following formats:
- ππ‘πππ¨π°
- πΊπππ ππ
- πππππ π¨
- οΌ³ο½ο½ο½ο½ο½
This is how we can take the same name in different styles. Please note that not all games support all unicode font characters. Hence, some characters will either appear as blank squares or will not be accepted at all.
Ensure before you take it as your final name that you have tried the desired font style in a particular game.
Use Symbols Without Making the Name Messy
Using symbols is a great way to give personality to your PUBG name. You can use elements like stars and small designs which add flair.
Consider using names like δΉVexoδΉ, γFrostγ, or δΊShadow. Keep in mind that this is just to show you what you can do since the game doesnβt support every style.
The key to using symbols is getting the balance right. Using around two symbols – one at the beginning and one at the end – is probably enough. Using symbols all over is going to be hard to read. Just make sure you check that the symbol looks good on your device and does not break the game before trying to use it.

Check Your Name Before Using It
First of all, you should make sure that the name is spelled correctly and that it is easy to read. After confirming this, the next step is to check if the name meets the length restrictions. After this, make sure to enter the name into PUBG to see if the game accepts the name.
Additionally, make sure the name has not been chosen by another player if it is allowed in the game. If the name is already taken, make some changes to it instead of adding a bunch of random numbers.
Last but not least, it is important to note that the name should be something that you like even after playing for a long time. Therefore, choose a design that suits you rather than following the latest trend.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
When creating your name on PUBG, the following mistakes can undermine the effectiveness of your choice.
- Too many symbols: Too many decorations in your name can make it difficult to read.
- Copying another player’s name: Improvise and create a version that is unique to you.
- Ignoring the limit on characters: Always verify what the limit is when it comes to creating your name. PUBG name limit is 14 characters max.
- Using unsupported fonts: Some characters may not show up or operate properly due to the font used.
- Using random numbers: Avoid using any numbers unless they add value to your name.
Avoiding these mistakes guarantees that your name will be more attractive and recognizable.
